Easily Watch YouTube Clips or Listen to Music Using a Desktop Client Wrapped in A Dark Theme that Makes It Look Like a Smartphone App
If you like to listen to YouTube music while working on the computer, you can use a desktop client instead of the web browser since it’s less likely to encounter application hangs or crashes. A good example of this is MeTube, ideal for users interested in a straightforward YouTube player that doesn’t have any unnecessary features.
With an interface that makes it seem to be a smartphone app, MeTube gives you the possibility to look up YouTuble music, watch clips, and create collections out of favorites. It doesn’t have advanced configurations settings so it’s incredibly easy to use.
Simple YouTube player for desktops
Following a speedy setup operation that doesn’t need special attention, you come face to face with a user-friendly GUI with a dark theme, where you can look up something on YouTube right away. Suggestions are supported by the tool and shown in real time based on what you’re typing.
A second window with the YouTube clip starts playing as soon as you select a track. It cannot be closed but it can be minimized to the taskbar or disabled from the settings panel. The developer didn’t implement multiple themes for the graphical interface (only the dark tone is available).
Straightforward options for a YouTube player
As far as media controls are concerned, MeTube lets you pause and resume music, seek a position, play the previous or next track, adjust the volume level, or enable repeat. You can put together collections out of frequently played YouTube clips, as well as sign in with a YouTube account. Unfortunately, these two features weren’t functional during our tests (clicking their buttons didn’t do anything).
Other than this, MeTube worked smoothly in our tests on Windows 10, using minimal system resources. Thanks to its intuitive interface and options, it can be easily used by anyone.
We at AppsForMyPC have tested and used MeTube and it worked pretty smoothly 🙂 🙂
