Under the hood and availability
The PaperCut NG application is written in Java programming language, which means that it is a platform-independent application that supports any operating system where JRE (Java Runtime Environment) is installed, including Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS X.
PaperCut NG is distributed as .sh installers for x86_64 (64-bit) and x86 (32-bit) instruction set architectures, which can be run on Linux servers that use Samba or CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) print queues. The user “papercut” must be created before running the installer.
We at AppsForMyPC have tested and used PaperCut NG and it worked pretty smoothly 🙂 🙂
