ScopeBox is a powerful and versatile macOS application that offers you a high-quality preview monitor, numerous signal analyzers and recording capabilities for video of up to 4K resolution.

Monitoring features and useful overlays

Thanks to ScopeBox’s video preview you can easily view your footage as you are shooting it while the monitor calibration takes care of the colors in order to provide an accurate preview. If you need help with the framing of your shots you can use one of the many overlays provided by ScopeBox.

Rule of thirds, title safe, letterbox masks, graphics safe and center marks can help you frame your shots more easily. If you need to frame greenscreen shots or shoot around various graphic elements and lower 3rds, then you will be happy to know that ScopeBox allows you to overlay QuickTime movies and images.

On top of that, the Focus assists feature adds peaking on the edges that can help you focus more easier while the Zebras overlay helps you identify overexposed or saturated areas in your image.

A wide variety of scopes

ScopeBox comes with numerous waveforms and vectorscopes as well as an RGB histogram and a Channel Plot. You have the option to match and combine scopes, save and reuse your layouts. All scopes can be resized, re-arranged and customized according to your needs.

Furthermore, you can use any of the following scopes and organize them in your layout: Waveform, Vectorscope, RGB Parade, RGB Histogram, Preview, Audio Meter, Surround Meter, YCBCR Parade, Luma Histogram, HML balance, Timecode, and Channel Plot.

Recording capabilities

By using ScopeBox, you can record your video at a resolution ranging from SD, HD, 2k and up to 4K in the native format or directly in ProRes, AIC, DNxHD and other production formats. The Fail-Safe Capture system ensures that the video is constantly stored on your Mac’s hard disk and, in case of failure, you will always have a valid and usable file.

Another useful feature is the ScopeLink tool, which allows you to feed video directly from your Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro X to ScopeBox. All video is playback in real-time at the highest possible quality.

We at AppsForMyPC have tested and used ScopeBox for Mac and it worked pretty smoothly 🙂 🙂
