Interesting application that enables you to generate a financial forecast for the hypothetical scenario of buying a truck and taking to the road, as well as create your own simulation models
Most financial planning applications work under the assumption that users try to maintain a relatively stable lifestyle, but what happens if you decide to throw caution to the wind by selling all your possessions and living on the road? If the thought has ever crossed your mind, this application might prove helpful.
21st-century Truck Driver is designed to assist you with generating a financial prediction in order to attempt to create a sustainable lifestyle on the road. Of course, a niche program like this is not likely to draw the attention of most users, but it can still be fun to try out.
Financial prediction app that focuses on a unique scenario
The application was created as a result of a Twitter competition that involved users coming up with ideas for a financial calculator, and this is one of the more outlandish, but still interesting ones to be suggested.
Inspired, in part, by reports about Donald Trump supporters during the 2016 election campaign, and their solution to an unfavorable outcome, this program can be useful even if your motives are completely different.
Figure out how you can live sustainably on the road
Several simulation models are available, but you should start with the one that is selected by default. The Input Value panel is where you enter the raw data, and the results are displayed in the Target Value panel after being confirmed from the Detail Input panel.
The data is displayed in the form of a graph, and you can specify which of the results should be displayed, as well as advance up to 48 days in the timeline to get an idea of things that will change as time goes by.
Create your own simulation model
Once a promo code has been activated, you will be able to fully edit the simulation models in order to create one that is perfectly suited to your needs. The code is free, but you will need to follow the instructions displayed after clicking the “activate” button in order to receive one. A Twitter account is required.
In short, 21st-century Truck Driver isn’t the most versatile piece of software you will ever come across, but it can be useful in the right hands. The application’s UI could certainly use an upgrade, however, as it feels quite outdated.
More of a fun project than a program designed to appeal to a broad range of users, 21st-century Truck Driver can still be interesting to try out.
We at AppsForMyPC have tested and used 21st-century Truck Driver and it worked pretty smoothly 🙂 🙂
