Helps you manage and organise all your favourite recipes in one place – so you don’t have to look through lots of notes and books anymore
You don’t need to be a professional chef to enjoy cooking and to have a lot of notes and scribbles containing your favorite recipes. If you want to have them all neatly organized within the same place, you can try PittRecipes.
The application is created for both novices and experts, so the intuitive GUI is bound to encourage even beginners to add their recipes to the database.
Once you have added more recipes to the app, you can easily search for a certain entry by entering a relevant keyword.
Add detailed recipes
When it comes to adding a new recipe to PittRecipes, you can start by specifying its name and assign it to a previously created category. Then, you can type or paste the website where you found the dish, and you can even attach an image file to the entry.
The ingredients need to be entered one by one, which might occasionally take a lot of time. It would have been easier if you could just paste them in the dedicated box and leave it to the app to identify the units of measurements for each one.
Next, you only need to enter the actual steps you need to complete to obtain a delicious meal or dessert.
Integrated unit converter
A handy function of PittRecipes is its unit converter and you can access it when browsing the recipes from the main window (not when adding them to the database).
Double-clicking an ingredient brings up a new window where you can the current unit of measurement is automatically converted to two other options. This comes in handy when you want to cook a recipe that uses cups or tablespoons and you prefer grams.
All in all, PittRecipes is a reliable app for creating an inventory of recipes, then exporting them to TXT or printing them without too much hassle.
We at AppsForMyPC have tested and used PittRecipes and it worked pretty smoothly 🙂 🙂
