An application that helps you search multiple search engines at once
Copernic Agent is a handy piece of software that offers a long list of search engines to use simultaneously when looking for something on the online environment.
The setup procedure can be customized by specifying the search categories and subcategories to include in the program. Among them, we can list Business and Economy (e.g. Human Resources, resumes), Computers and Internet (e.g. desktop themes, tech reviews) and News (e.g. newspapers, tech news).
The app’s GUI is organized into multiple panes, allowing you to easily navigate the clean layout.
The standard search function requires you to enter text and, optionally enable exact phrases and automatic links verification.
However, this tool can be refined in several methods. For instance, you can search for all words or any one of them, pick a category and modify search engine settings, as well as choose the analysis mode between “minimal” (duplicate links) and “intermediate” (duplicate and broken links, page sizes, and dates). In addition, you can write notes.
Once the scanning operation is done, you can view results in the mainframe and sort them by score, title, excerpt, address, found or visited date, search engine, or in ascending order, with the most or least relevant item being on top.
It is possible to verify and remove broken links, organize categories, search within the results, save webpages, send the search results via email, as well as import/export and backup/store data.
Other features of Copernic Agent let you customize the layout (e.g. text size, highlights), modify search parameters, copy or move the search to another location, create and manage a favorites list, create custom categories, set spelling rules and enable disk cleanup, among others.
The program is pretty light on the system resources, very responsive to commands, and carries out a search task in a reasonable time, considering its large database of search engines. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests and the app did not hang or crash. Thanks to its rich features, Copernic Agent should please all users, especially the advanced ones.
We at AppsForMyPC have tested and used Copernic Agent Personal and it worked pretty smoothly 🙂 🙂
