Quickly check the status of all Apple developer and consumer services from the menu bar, and view more details what’s available on the official system status pages
Apple offers many services for both regular users and developers, and these systems can’t always work perfectly. Before you toss out your Mac or call your ISP, it helps to have a convenient way to check if the problem you are facing is on Apple’s end.
StatusBuddy offers a simple way to do just that. It monitors all Apple services and displays their status in the menu bar, together with additional details that are not available on the official status pages for consumer and developer services.
All the info you need in the menu bar
While the app is running, you can access it at any time by just clicking its menu bar icon. If a service is experiencing issues, a notification badge will be visible on the icon.
All Apple services are tracked, from the App Store to Apple Pay, Apple Music and iCloud. If there are issues with any of them, they will be shown at the top of the list. You can also use the search function to find a specific service.
Why not rely on the official system status pages?
As you may already know, Apple displays the status of these services on their website, split into two pages: one for regular users and the other for developers. However, fewer details are available here, and recent issues that have been resolved are not shown.
Of course, there is also another obvious advantage to StatusBuddy — you can access this information directly from your Mac’s menu bar, and you will be notified instantly if any issues arise.
Make sure Apple services are running smoothly
Simple though it may be, StatusBuddy is a great little app for users who rely on various Apple services. You can check them in a few seconds and view details about recent issues, all without opening your browser.
We at AppsForMyPC have tested and used StatusBuddy for Mac and it worked pretty smoothly 🙂 🙂
